Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift
Citroen launched C5 Aircross facelift at a price of 36.91 lakhs to 37.67 lakhs. C5 Aircross was the first car for Citroen in Indian market launched before the mass market car C3 and C3 Aircross. Citroen has to compete with Hyundai Tucson, Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. But Citroen C5 Aircross is pricier in the competition and comes in the price from where the segment King Toyota Fortuner starts. Due to this C5 Aircross is in tough spot in terms of sales. It has only one engine and transmission option on offer which is a 2-litre diesel engine with 8-speed automatic transmission options. C5 aircross doesn't have any petrol engine and manual transmission options on offer, making it in a more tougher state in the competition.
In terms of design, the Citroen C5 Aircross features the signature split headlamp design divided by a two-slat chrome grille and a secondary grille. The dual-tone bumper gets brushed aluminum skid plates.
Citroen packed the C5 Aircross with features such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering-mounted controls, three USB sockets, 6 airbags, a 12V socket, and connected car tech. The C5 Aircross is 4,500 mm long, 1,969 mm Width, 1,710 mm Height and sits on a 2,730 mm wheelbase, and has a very practical ground clearance of 230mm which is very useful for Indian roads.
Inside, the Citroen C5 Aircross will feature a single-tone interior, while the black dashboard will be complemented by silver color insert. Citroen C5 Aircross will be offered in seven color options including Pearl White, Cumulus Grey, Pearl Black and Eclipse Blue but most of these will come with dual-tone options, where the roof will get a Glossy Black color.
The Citroen C5 Aircross scored a four star in a crash test rating.
