Scorpio N 2022 

Big Daddy is BACK. One of the most popular MADE IN INDIA SUV, Scorpio is going to launch in the country on 15 August. It will be the fourth generation with revolutionary changes to the exterior and interior. The Scorpio, gets an all-new design, making this a full model change and not a major update. It continues with the traditional upright styling cues and is more boxy-looking than the outgoing SUV.

Exterior

Its bumper is tall and gets C-shaped surrounds for its fog lamp housings, which also double up as LED daytime running lamps. It will also get Volvo shaped rear taillights. Mahindra has underpinned the new Scorpio with an updated ladder frame chassis that's also present on the new Thar.


Safety features

Scorpio is expected to come with a host of safety features such as cruise control, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability program with rollover mitigation, hill hold assist, two-zone climate control, traction control, wireless charging and sunroof.

Interior

The interior of the new Scorpio is also expected to be a lot more premium and will have better features for all passengers. It will come with forward facing seats for all rows.

Scorpio won’t come with xuv700 type screens but Spy photos have revealed that it will come with a large infotainment touchscreen supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto making its way to the cabin. It could also get built-in navigation that is flanked by AC vents on both sides, and below it are the controls for the infotainment and AC systems




Engine options

Scorpio will get -  2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel mHawk engine and a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged petrol mStallion motor same as XUV700. Both the engines are likely to be available with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a six-speed automatic. Besides, Mahindra is expected to equip the new Scorpio with a four-wheel-drive system later on
